Privacy Policy

Development Eye is a trading style of Stirling Partners Finance Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our quote wizard or contact us, how we use it, and your rights over it.
Who we are
Stirling Partners Finance Ltd is regulated and authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN: 304236), registered in England and Wales (company number 05160479), registered address 106 Tring Road, Aylesbury, Bucks HP20 1LS, UK.
What we collect
When you use our quote wizard or contact form, we collect the information you provide directly — your name, phone number, email address, and details about the scheme or finance you're looking for (facility size, site and project details, and similar). If you're applying on behalf of someone else, or as an introducer, we also collect your own contact and company details.
If you go on to apply, we also collect the information you give in your factfind (such as your income, commitments, property details and, where needed, bank and health details), the documents you upload to your portal, and records of any fees you pay us.
Sharing your details with lenders
To get you real quotes and progress an application, we share the relevant details you've given us with lenders on our panel who may be able to help. We only share what a lender needs to assess your enquiry, and we don't sell your data to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
As part of assessing your application, a lender may carry out a soft credit search — this does not affect your credit rating and isn't visible to other lenders. If a lender needs to carry out a hard credit search (which can leave a visible mark on your credit file), we'll let you know before this happens.
Our service providers
We use carefully selected service providers to run Development Eye. They act only on our instructions and must keep your information secure and confidential. They host our website, portal and records; store the documents you send us and our back-up copies; send our emails; take payments (card details are entered on our payment provider's secure form and are never seen by us); and look up property details.
Reading the documents you upload. To save you typing, when you or your adviser upload a property schedule or similar document, we use an artificial intelligence (AI) service from a specialist provider to read it and fill in the matching parts of your factfind. Before a spreadsheet is sent, we remove names and personal details such as email addresses, phone numbers and bank details. The AI only reads and copies information; it doesn't make any decision about you, and nothing is saved until you or your adviser have checked it. The provider keeps what is sent to it, and what its AI sends back, for 30 days and then deletes it. You can always enter your details yourself instead.
Some of our providers are based in, or process information in, countries outside the UK, including the United States. Where this happens, we make sure your information has the protection UK data protection law requires, for example through the UK–US data bridge or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement. You can ask us for details.
Why we use your information
- To provide the indicative quotes and comparisons you request
- To pass your enquiry to one of our advisers, who will contact you about it
- To share your details with lenders in order to obtain and progress quotes, as described above
- To set up and manage a portal account for you, if you choose to create one
- To read documents you upload into your factfind, so you don't have to type the details in (see "Our service providers")
- Where you've separately agreed, to contact you about other products and services we think may be relevant
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide our service and meet our regulatory obligations, and in line with standard record-keeping requirements for regulated financial advice. If your enquiry doesn't proceed, we retain a record of it for a reasonable period in case you get back in touch, after which it's deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it's inaccurate, ask us to delete it (where we're not required to keep it), and withdraw any marketing consent you've given at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
Cookies
We use cookies that our website needs to work: to remember your progress through the quote form and to keep you signed in to your portal. These don't need your consent.
With your permission, we also use Google Analytics cookies to understand how people use our website, such as which pages are visited and for how long, so we can improve it. Google may process this information in the United States. These cookies are only set if you choose "Accept" on our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time using "Cookie settings" at the foot of every page. We don't use advertising cookies.
